Subcontracts Administrator – Intermediate

About the role

Jacobs is seeking an Intermediate Subcontracts Administrator to support Advanced Manufacturing projects. You will manage the full subcontracting lifecycle, from preparing bid packages to closing out contracts, ensuring compliance and value for the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and issue Request for Proposal (RFP) packages and manage the bid cycle.
• Coordinate and host pre‑bid meetings with bidders and project team members.
• Receive, review, tabulate and evaluate proposals.
• Facilitate clarification meetings and prepare commercial bid evaluations.
• Negotiate terms and conditions with bidders and coordinate final approvals with the legal department.
• Draft award subcontract documents, route requisitions for approval, and issue contracts to successful bidders.
• Conduct pre‑award meetings and manage subcontractor invoices and change orders.
• Mitigate subcontractor risk, assist with claims or disputes, and perform subcontract close‑out activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in business, construction, supply chain, operations management, or equivalent project experience.
• Demonstrated knowledge of procurement concepts, principles, and best practices.
• Ability to handle day‑to‑day subcontracting tasks with minimal guidance.
• Experience acting as lead on small projects (Total Installed Cost ≤ $50 M) is a plus.

Required skills

• Strong understanding of procurement and contract administration processes.
• Experience preparing RFPs, evaluating bids, and negotiating contracts.
• Ability to manage subcontractor invoices, change orders, and risk mitigation.
