About the role
This on‑campus work‑study position supports the Student Orientation, Leadership, Engagement (SOLE) department at Texas A&M International University. It offers a part‑time role for enrolled students to gain administrative experience while balancing their studies.
Key responsibilities
- Handle routine office inquiries from employees and students.
- Assist with day‑to‑day maintenance and operations of the SOLE department.
- Perform clerical duties such as answering phones, filing, scheduling, and organizing documents.
- Provide support for student organization information and leadership program activities.
- Complete other related tasks as assigned.
Required profile
- Enrolled at least half‑time (6 credits for undergraduates, 3 for graduates).
- Maintain a minimum GPA of 2.0 (undergraduate) or 3.0 (graduate).
- Current file with the Office of Financial Aid and annual FAFSA submission demonstrating financial need.
- U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or eligible non‑citizen with an alien registration number.
- Compliance with the university’s Satisfactory Academic Progress Policy.
Required skills
- Proficiency with a personal computer workstation and common software applications.
- Ability to organize tasks, multitask, and meet deadlines.
- Strong customer service, interpersonal, and communication abilities.
- Problem‑analysis and problem‑solving capabilities.
- Willingness to learn and use multiple software programs.
What we offer
