About the role

The Student Worker will support the Registrar's Office and Graduation Office at East Texas A&M University. This on‑campus position provides direct assistance to current students and helps ensure smooth graduation processes. The role requires professionalism, courteous service, and the ability to handle confidential information.

Key responsibilities

  • Assist the Graduation and DegreeWorks Coordinator with ceremony preparation, planning, staging, and day‑of duties.
  • Mail diplomas, academic distinction medallions, and other correspondence to students.
  • Update and review student records in the Banner system and DegreeWorks.
  • Answer calls to the Graduation Office’s main number and provide customer support.
  • Scan and index sensitive documents into Laserfiche and shred them after the retention period.
  • Support Registrar staff during campus events such as Mane Event and graduation ceremonies.

  • Professional demeanor with strong courtesy and competence.
  • Ability to manage confidential student information responsibly.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
