Student Worker – Alumni Affairs

About the role

The University of Arkansas at Fort Smith is seeking a motivated student worker to support the Alumni Affairs office. This temporary, fixed‑term position provides hands‑on experience in alumni relations, event coordination, and clerical support while you continue your studies.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Alumni Affairs team with daily clerical tasks such as data entry, filing, and record maintenance.
• Respond to alumni inquiries via phone and email, directing them to appropriate resources.
• Support planning and execution of alumni events, including logistics, registration, and post‑event follow‑up.
• Update and maintain alumni databases and mailing lists.
• Prepare and proofread communications, newsletters, and promotional materials.

Required profile

• Currently enrolled as a student in the University of Arkansas System.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with a team.
