Student Technology Center Technician - Hourly

About the role

The Student Technology Center Technician provides on‑site technical assistance within the University of Arkansas Technology Center. This hourly, temporary position supports students and staff by resolving a variety of IT issues.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware and software problems for campus users.
• Set up, configure, and maintain computers, peripherals, and networking equipment.
• Respond to service requests through the university ticketing system and document resolutions.
• Assist with classroom and event technology setups as needed.
• Maintain an organized inventory of equipment and supplies.

Required profile

• Currently enrolled student at the University of Arkansas.
• Available to work flexible, on‑site shifts.
• Strong communication and customer‑service orientation.
• Reliability and ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Required skills

• Basic knowledge of computer hardware components.
• Familiarity with Windows/macOS operating systems.
• Proficiency with common software applications (e.g., Microsoft Office).
• Experience using a ticketing or help‑desk system.
