About the role

The Student Success Center Tutor provides academic support to students at the University of Arkansas Community College at Batesville. Working in a work‑study, fixed‑term capacity, the tutor helps learners master course content, develop effective study habits, and build confidence for independent learning.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver individual and small‑group tutoring sessions in assigned subject areas.
• Reinforce course material and clarify concepts to improve student comprehension.
• Promote effective study strategies and self‑efficacy.
• Guide students toward appropriate campus resources and services.
• Contribute to the college’s goals of student persistence, retention, and completion.

Required profile

• Current student or recent graduate of the University of Arkansas System.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment.

Required skills

• Solid knowledge of the subjects assigned for tutoring.
