About the role
The Extra Help Assistant/Peer Mentor supports fellow students by providing guidance, resources, and mentorship throughout their college experience. This temporary, fixed‑term position is ideal for a sophomore who wants to develop leadership skills while contributing to a vibrant campus community.
Key responsibilities
- Serve as a peer mentor, helping students navigate academic and campus life.
- Attend all mandatory training sessions and regular meetings.
- Facilitate discussion groups with mentees twice a month.
- Become familiar with campus resources and refer students as needed.
- Report any student concerns to the supervisor promptly.
- Create and participate in initiatives that support mentees.
- Participate in Trojan Leadership Fellows Program events.
Required profile
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Currently enrolled as a University of Arkansas at Little Rock student.
- Sophomore status with at least 30 credit hours completed.
