Strategic Projects Manager

About the role

Quartermaster is scaling maritime coverage by placing sensing equipment on commercial ships worldwide. The Strategic Projects Manager acts as a high‑output generalist, reporting to the founding team and moving between sales, operations, and growth to deliver results on ambiguous, high‑stakes problems.

Key responsibilities

• Own ambiguous, high‑stakes problems from definition to delivery, turning questions into actionable outcomes.
• Quarterback across recruiting, installs, logistics, commercial, and product teams to keep projects aligned and unblock obstacles.
• Produce technical and financial outputs, including unit‑economics models, business cases, and data‑backed recommendations for founders, board, and investors.
• Adapt to business needs, e.g., standing up recruiting in new markets, fixing operational bottlenecks, or running commercial pilots.
• Convert one‑off projects into repeatable processes with playbooks, tooling, and metrics for permanent teams.

Required profile

• Minimum 24 months of relevant experience (mid‑level).
• Proven ability to structure and solve ambiguous problems end‑to‑end.
• Comfort working across sales, operations, product, and client‑facing engagements.
• Strong analytical mindset with the capacity to produce rigorous financial and operational analyses.
