Strategic Partner Development – Data & Product Partnerships

About the role

Anthropic’s Beneficial Deployments team is looking for a senior leader to drive data and product partnerships that advance high‑impact AI applications in health, life sciences, education, and economic mobility. You will own the end‑to‑end deal process, from initial concept through signed agreement, ensuring each partnership aligns with Anthropic’s mission of safe and beneficial AI.

Key responsibilities

• Define partnership scope, evaluate strategic fit, and decide which opportunities to pursue, reshape, or decline.
• Collaborate with partner managers, legal counsel, and research/product teams to structure agreements that balance risk and impact.
• Negotiate complex terms covering rights, usage restrictions, privacy, and security obligations.
• Standardize recurring deal patterns into reusable templates to accelerate future negotiations.
• Maintain a transparent partnership pipeline and communicate status across all internal stakeholders.

Required profile

• Passion for public‑benefit AI work.
• 8+ years of experience leading negotiations and closing strategic agreements (business development, licensing, data or content deals, corporate development, etc.).
• Proven track record of managing deals from term sheet to signature, including non‑standard contracts.
• Comfort with complex legal terms and close collaboration with lawyers on both sides.
