Strategic Litigation Counsel

About the role

Bush & Bush Law Group is seeking a Strategic Litigation Counsel to join its fast‑growing litigation team. The attorney will work directly with firm leadership on high‑stakes Texas civil litigation, handling complex motions, declaratory judgment actions, professional liability disputes, business torts, and property damage cases.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, analyze, and argue complex motions and briefs in state and federal courts, including summary judgment, dismissal, jurisdictional, discovery, evidentiary, and post‑judgment motions.
• Conduct in‑depth legal research on unsettled or developing areas of Texas law and prepare persuasive briefing supported by statutory analysis.
• Develop comprehensive litigation strategies that address procedural, evidentiary, and appellate considerations from inception through appeal.
• Represent the firm at hearings, depositions, mediations, trials, and potentially oral arguments at the state appellate level.
• Collaborate closely with senior litigation counsel on substantial matters, providing strategic input and independent handling of complex briefing.

Required profile

• Active Texas bar admission (Federal court admission is a plus).
• Exceptional written communication and persuasive oral advocacy skills.
• Strong analytical thinking with the ability to manage intricate legal issues and tight deadlines.
• Experience in complex motion practice, evidentiary analysis, and appellate preservation.
