Strategic Buyer – Procurement & Sourcing

About the role

Rolls‑Royce is seeking a Strategic Buyer to shape and execute purchasing strategies for key commodities. Working in a hybrid model from Indianapolis, you will partner with senior stakeholders to drive cost, quality, delivery and performance improvements across the supply chain.

Key responsibilities

• Lead supplier negotiations, strategic sourcing and category management to achieve cost, quality and delivery targets.
• Develop and implement commodity strategies aligned with corporate goals.
• Build and maintain strong supplier relationships.
• Design and execute sourcing plans that deliver measurable value.
• Drive cost‑reduction initiatives and risk‑mitigation actions to ensure commercial resilience.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to align procurement strategy with business priorities.
• Support continuous process improvement and share best practices across the global network.

Required profile

• Associate degree with 4+ years of purchasing experience, or Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years, or 6+ years of purchasing experience in lieu of a degree.
• U.S. citizenship is mandatory.
• Demonstrated ability to work with senior internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
