Strategic Account Manager

About the role

The Strategic Account Manager (SAM) will develop and grow relationships with senior‑level decision makers, up to the CEO, across key accounts. The SAM is responsible for positioning ZOLL Medical as the preferred long‑term strategic partner and driving profitable sales and market‑share growth.

Key responsibilities

• Build an in‑depth understanding of targeted accounts to match ZOLL Medical device offerings with customer needs.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with a broad range of key stakeholders, including non‑clinical decision makers.
• Map internal politics of target accounts and own the strategic direction and account management plan.
• Identify and pursue cross‑selling opportunities across market segments, especially private ambulance services.
• Articulate and sell ZOLL’s value proposition tailored to strategic accounts to secure long‑term partnership agreements.
• Lead multimillion‑pound tender applications and ensure successful acceptance and longevity.
• Manage commercial terms such as price, volume, and mix in line with national/international strategy.
• Coordinate internal resources to deliver value‑added solutions and lead internal teams for each opportunity.

Required profile

• Strong drive (“hunger”) to continually increase profitable sales and market share.
• Proven ability to develop, lead, and implement strategic account plans.
• Experience building relationships with senior executives and navigating complex organizational structures.
• Capability to coordinate cross‑functional teams and manage large‑scale tender processes.
