Storyteller – End-to-End Video Creator

About the role

Sequel is building a world‑class storytelling team to showcase the journeys of elite athletes, artists and entrepreneurs. As a Storyteller you will own the full content arc—from research and concept development to filming, editing and final delivery—creating visually compelling videos that inspire our members and portfolio companies.

Key responsibilities

• Research subjects and develop narrative concepts that align with Sequel’s brand and content pillars.
• Write scripts, plan shoots, and manage all production logistics, including lighting, set design and equipment setup.
• Film on‑site and in‑studio, working directly with founders, athletes and other stakeholders.
• Edit footage into a variety of formats (trailers, educational clips, founder journeys, behind‑the‑scenes B‑roll) optimized for social platforms and the Sequel app.
• Integrate music, motion graphics and basic animation to enhance storytelling.
• Leverage AI tools to streamline workflow and improve production quality.
• Pitch new ideas during bi‑weekly Story Lab sessions and collaborate with cross‑functional teams.

Required profile

• Passionate storyteller with a portfolio of end‑to‑end video projects.
• Strong visual aesthetic and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and projects simultaneously.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work with high‑profile talent.

Required skills

• Professional filming equipment experience (Nikon cameras, lenses, gimbals, lighting kits).
• Video editing proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects or DaVinci Resolve.
• Basic animation and motion‑graphics capabilities.
• Knowledge of sound design and post‑production workflows.
