Stormwater Operator

About the role

The Stormwater Operator position is a full‑time (40 hours per week) role responsible for maintaining and improving the Asotin County Regional Stormwater system. The work supports compliance with Phase II Stormwater Permit requirements across the urban areas of Asotin County, including Clarkston and Asotin.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and inspections of stormwater infrastructure.
• Execute construction tasks related to stormwater system upgrades and expansions.
• Operate stormwater equipment safely, efficiently, and with a high level of skill.
• Ensure all work meets Phase II Stormwater Permit standards.
• Document work performed and report findings to the Stormwater Coordinator.

Required profile

• Must be a U.S. citizen or authorized to work in the United States.
• Preference given to current regular full‑time or part‑time Asotin County employees.
• Ability to work full‑time on‑site and perform physical tasks associated with stormwater system operations.

Required skills

• Operation of stormwater system equipment and related machinery.
