Steward Supervisor

About the role

The Steward Supervisor ensures the food hall remains clean, organized, and safe while leading the stewarding team during each shift. This hourly position supports both guests and vendors by keeping shared spaces stocked and operating efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise the stewarding team and support daily operations on shift.
• Maintain cleanliness of market areas, restrooms, dish rooms, and hallways.
• Coordinate team breaks to guarantee proper coverage.
• Assist with training new hires and report progress to management.
• Receive, store, and organize deliveries safely.
• Manage waste removal and respond quickly to spills or hazards.
• Monitor and restock cleaning supplies, ensuring safe usage.
• Stock kitchens with necessary supplies for service.
• Conduct inventory of cleaning supplies and dishware.
• Perform regular walkthroughs and report maintenance, safety, or operational issues.
• Enforce health, safety, and sanitation regulations and escalate issues to the Manager on Duty.

Required profile

• Experience in stewarding or facilities within a high‑volume environment.
• Strong organization and leadership abilities.
• Knowledge of sanitation and safety standards.
• Flexible availability, including nights and weekends.
• Fluent in English and Spanish.
