Sterilization Technician

About the role

The Texas A&M College of Dentistry is seeking a dedicated Sterilization Technician to manage the cleaning, sterilization, and distribution of dental equipment and supplies. This on‑site position supports the daily clinical activities of students and faculty in a fast‑growing academic health center.

Key responsibilities

• Sterilize dental instruments using ultrasonic cleaners, hand‑piece cleaners, washers, and both small and large autoclaves.
• Transport equipment to and from the central sterilization area and conduct biological and DART tests to verify proper function.
• Dispense clinical supplies, prepare procedure packaging, and manage inventory through barcode tracking.
• Assemble and replenish student kits on a daily basis, maintaining accurate records of instrument usage.
• Perform regular inventory checks and ensure compliance with safety and infection‑control standards.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; combination of education and experience accepted.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with a team.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

What we offer

• Hourly wage of $17.78
• Full‑time schedule: Monday‑Friday, 8 am‑5 pm
