STEAM/CTE Teacher (Grades K-8)

About the role
The STEAM/CTE Teacher will deliver integrated science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics instruction to students in a K‑8 environment. The role involves creating engaging lessons, supporting student development, and collaborating with school leadership.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver curriculum-aligned STEAM and CTE lessons.
- Participate in school committees related to planning, research, curriculum, and public relations.
- Attend building and district faculty meetings.
- Supervise and care for school property, furniture, books, and equipment.
- Maintain classroom discipline and report serious issues to the principal.
- Manage student supervision duties both inside and outside the classroom as assigned.
- Open and close school sessions punctually and enforce board regulations.
- Observe student performance, identify learning barriers, and report to administration.
- Prepare lesson plans, records, and required reports.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding student progress.
Required profile
- Valid Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction teaching license.
- Ability to walk up to 70% of the day, stand for long periods, and lift up to 50 lb.
- Capacity to respond quickly to emergencies and support student movement.
- Good hearing and communication skills for frequent conversations.
- Dexterity to operate a computer keyboard and standard office equipment.
