Statistician – Data Analysis Unit

About the role

The United Nations Joint Staff Pension Fund (UNJSPF) is seeking a Statistician to join its Data Analysis Unit in New York. Reporting to the Chief of the unit, the role focuses on statistical and actuarial analysis to support the Fund’s actuarial programme and the Committee of Actuaries.

Key responsibilities

• Organise, design, plan and execute the collection, evaluation, analysis, compilation and dissemination of statistical data.
• Develop, implement and manage statistical databases.
• Provide research and technical support for data‑collection programmes, economic and financial data by country.
• Produce insights through graphs, charts, tables and reports using data‑visualisation methods.
• Participate in the development or revision of standards on statistical concepts, definitions and classifications.

Required profile

• Experience in statistical data collection, analysis and reporting.
• Familiarity with actuarial data and pension‑fund contexts.
• Ability to work within delegated authority and collaborate with senior staff.
