State and Local Tax Financial Services Senior Associate

About the role

PwC is seeking a Senior Associate to join its State and Local Tax Financial Services practice. You will help financial‑services clients navigate complex tax restructuring, new legislation, and compliance challenges across U.S. jurisdictions, turning tax risk into a strategic advantage.

Key responsibilities

• Assess clients' state and local tax burdens and propose solutions aligned with business objectives.
• Provide advice on abandoned and unclaimed property, income and franchise tax, payroll and employment tax, credits, incentives and indirect tax.
• Leverage technology‑enabled tools to improve digitisation, automation and efficiency of tax processes.
• Lead and coach junior team members, delegate work, and ensure high‑quality deliverables.
• Review work for accuracy, relevance and compliance with applicable tax laws.
