Standardized Patient – Part‑Time (Temporary)

About the role

The Standardized Patient (SP) role supports the Georgetown University School of Medicine by portraying realistic patient cases for medical student training and assessment. This part‑time, temporary position involves intermittent sessions aligned with course schedules, primarily on weekdays.

Key responsibilities

• Accurately simulate patient histories, physical findings, emotional states and behaviors as defined in case scripts.
• Maintain consistency and precise recall of case details across multiple student interactions.
• Provide verbal and/or written feedback to learners following each encounter.
• Complete case checklists with at least 95 % accuracy.
• Wear provided clinical attire and be comfortable with repeated physical examinations by students and faculty.
• Participate in audio‑ and video‑recorded simulations, both on‑site and via Zoom, demonstrating technical competency.
