Staff Software Engineer, Platform

About the role

We are looking for a Staff Software Engineer to lead the Platform & Infrastructure team, shaping our architectural strategy, scaling core services, and mentoring junior engineers as we support AI workloads at global scale.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute long‑term infrastructure vision, designing resilient, distributed systems for AI workloads.
• Mentor junior engineers, fostering high standards, code quality, and continuous learning.
• Partner with engineering leads to diagnose complex bottlenecks and translate them into scalable technical requirements.
• Design and implement foundational platform services that improve developer experience and reduce operational overhead.
• Collaborate with product, research, and security teams to ensure secure, performant infrastructure aligned with company mission.

Required profile

• 8+ years of professional software development experience with a proven track record designing and scaling complex distributed systems.
• Demonstrated experience leading high‑impact engineering teams, mentoring junior engineers, and influencing technical strategy at a staff level.

Required skills

• Cloud‑native infrastructure on GCP (preferred).
• Kubernetes at scale.
• GPU/ML infrastructure, including GPU scheduling, optimization and high‑performance networking.
• Design of high‑throughput, low‑latency services.
• Experience with multi‑tenant data governance and compliance frameworks such as SOC2.
