Staff+ Software Engineer, GRC Platform

About the role

Anthropic is seeking an experienced software engineer to build the governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) platform. The role involves creating data pipelines, integrations, and services that consolidate compliance data from various systems and deliver automated checks, dashboards, and evidence for decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Design and build data pipelines aggregating risk, control, and asset information across Anthropic’s technology stack.
• Develop and maintain integrations with cloud infrastructure, identity management, HRIS, ticketing, version control, and CI/CD systems for automated evidence collection.
• Translate policies and regulatory requirements into policy‑as‑code, enabling enforceable rules and continuous monitoring.
• Create agentic workflows using Claude to automate evidence analysis, audit response generation, and control effectiveness monitoring.
• Build real‑time dashboards and reports for engineers, executives, and external auditors.
• Make architectural decisions and establish patterns and tooling for the platform’s growth.
• Partner with Security, IT, Infrastructure, and product engineering teams to embed controls and evidence collection into development processes.
• Own reliability and data integrity of the platform, ensuring audit and executive reporting dependability.

Required profile

• 8+ years of experience building internal platforms, data pipelines, or privacy systems.
• Proven ability to lead end‑to‑end projects and work with cross‑functional stakeholders.
• Strong problem‑solving skills for complex integration challenges such as disparate schemas and data quality issues.

Required skills

• Experience with data pipeline construction and integration of cloud, identity, HR, ticketing, version control, and CI/CD systems.
• Knowledge of policy‑as‑code concepts and automated compliance monitoring.
• Familiarity with building dashboards and real‑time reporting.
