Staff Software Engineer, Data Platform

About the role

SentiLink is looking for a Staff Software Engineer to lead the technical direction of its Data Platform, the backbone of its fraud detection products. In this remote, US‑based position you will design, build, and evolve large‑scale data infrastructure that powers identity verification and fraud analytics.

Key responsibilities

• Define the long‑term vision and architecture for the Data Platform, balancing immediate product needs with strategic investments.
• Design and operate secure, scalable batch and streaming pipelines that process billions of records.
• Improve platform scalability, reliability, performance, observability, and operational excellence.
• Partner with Product, Engineering, Data Science, and Infrastructure teams to solve cross‑functional challenges.
• Establish engineering standards, architectural patterns, and best practices across multiple teams.
• Participate in on‑call rotation and production support while driving automation to reduce operational burden.

Required profile

• 10+ years of software or data engineering experience with ownership of large‑scale distributed systems.
• Expert‑level proficiency in Python or Golang.
• Extensive experience designing and operating ETL/ELT and streaming platforms using Spark, Kafka, Flink, Hadoop or similar.
• Strong background building scalable systems on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Proven ability to lead technical initiatives across multiple engineering teams.
