Staff Site Reliability Engineer – Developer Platform

About the role

We are looking for a Staff Site Reliability Engineer to design, build, and operate the infrastructure that supports our build pipelines and developer platform. The role will help evolve our DevOps culture and turn architectural vision into production reality.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to the design and implementation of infrastructure components, including centralized developer portals and tooling that reduce cognitive overhead.
• Manage our AWS footprint, improving multi‑region availability, disaster recovery, and cost efficiency.
• Define and maintain Infrastructure as Code patterns and reusable Terraform modules across the engineering organization.
• Develop and optimize custom Kubernetes operators and controllers for stateful services, ensuring high availability and performance.
• Build automated security controls and policy‑as‑code to guarantee platform compliance.
• Identify friction points in the infrastructure stack and create intuitive tools that enhance the developer experience.
• Mentor mid‑level and junior engineers through code reviews, pair programming, and technical leadership.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to gather requirements, assess dependencies, and provide risk‑mitigation input.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Platform Engineering, DevOps, or Site Reliability Engineering.
• Proven expertise with Terraform and large‑scale state management.
• Deep understanding of Kubernetes internals, networking, storage, and service‑mesh architectures.
• Hands‑on experience implementing GitOps workflows using ArgoCD or Flux in production environments.
• Strong scripting abilities in Python, Bash, or Go.
• Experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
