Staff Pharmacist

About the role
The Staff Pharmacist will join the BGMC Pharmacy team at Buffalo General Medical Center, providing clinical, distribution, and educational support on a part‑time basis. This position works evenings and weekends, contributing to safe medication use for patients across the hospital.
Key responsibilities
- Monitor drug therapy and provide clinical recommendations.
- Prepare, compound, manufacture, and dispense medications according to prescriptions.
- Educate pharmacy students and other health professionals.
- Work scheduled shifts from 2 pm‑10 pm or 3 pm‑11 pm, including weekends and holidays.
Required profile
- B.S. degree in Pharmacy or Pharm.D. required.
- Current New York State pharmacy licensure and registration.
- Previous hospital or home‑care experience preferred; residency in hospital pharmacy preferred.
Required skills
- Pharmacy degree (B.S. or Pharm.D.).
- New York State pharmacy license.
