About the role
The Staff Operational Technology (OT) Manufacturing Engineer designs, implements, validates, and supports OT solutions that enable safe, compliant, and efficient manufacturing operations for on‑market products.
Key responsibilities
- Design, develop, program, and deploy industrial control systems (PLCs, PACs), HMI/SCADA applications, and control logic.
- Lead OT for process/tool/fixture implementations, manage vendor deliverables, and provide on‑site commissioning and training.
- Plan and execute IQ/OQ/PQ validation activities for control systems and MES/SCADA integrations.
- Integrate OT systems with MES/ERP/PLM, ensure data integrity and support electronic records compliance.
- Implement and maintain secure, segmented OT networks, lead cyber risk management per IEC 62443 and NIST.
- Troubleshoot production control issues, perform root‑cause analysis, and drive corrective actions.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s in Electrical, Controls, Automation, Mechatronics, Computer, or Mechanical Engineering; Master’s preferred.
- Minimum 8 years manufacturing engineering experience, including 3–5 years hands‑on OT/control systems in regulated environments.
- Proven leadership of OT projects across full lifecycle and strong cross‑functional team collaboration.
- Willingness to travel to manufacturing sites as required.
Required skills
- Advanced PLC/HMI/SCADA proficiency (Rockwell, Siemens, Schneider, Ignition, FactoryTalk, Wonderware) and IEC 61131‑3 languages.
- OT‑IT integration expertise: MES/ERP/PLM interfaces, ISA 95, recipe/batch management, historians, real‑time alarms.
- OT security and industrial networking: network segmentation, VLANs, industrial firewalls, IEC 62443, NIST guidance.
- Regulatory‑grade system validation (IQ/OQ/PQ) and 21 CFR Part 11 awareness.
- Root‑cause analysis for PLC logic, HMI behavior, communication faults.
