Staff Nurse

About the role

Under supervision, the Staff Nurse provides professional nursing care to patients within an assigned unit at Bellevue, a Level I Trauma Center. The role involves assessing patient needs, delivering therapeutic interventions, and offering health education to support recovery and well‑being.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and differentiate physical and psycho‑social signs and symptoms.
• Select and perform therapeutic measures essential for each patient’s nursing regimen.
• Develop, implement, and continuously evaluate individualized nursing plans.
• Document care plans and progress notes to ensure continuity of care.
• Interpret and report patient responses to the health‑care team.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to design comprehensive patient care programs.
• Assign appropriate tasks to allied nursing personnel and provide guidance.
• Participate in defining, implementing, and interpreting nursing practice standards.
