Staff Attorney – Tenants' Rights (Florida)

About the role
This position is with a community organization that provides legal services to low‑income residents. As a Staff Attorney on the tenants' rights team, you will gain meaningful litigation experience while working under strong mentorship in a mission‑driven environment.
Key responsibilities
- Communicate directly with clients to assess needs and provide updates.
- Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and other court documents.
- Appear in court for hearings, trials, and other proceedings.
- Manage cases from intake through resolution, developing strategy and coordinating with support staff.
Required profile
- Admission to the Florida Bar (newly admitted candidates are encouraged to apply).
- 1–6 years of litigation experience (preferred but flexible).
- Bilingual ability in Spanish or Haitian Creole.
Required skills
What we offer
- Salary ranging from $75,000 to $84,000, determined by bar admission year.
- Eligibility for a performance bonus after the first year.
