Staff Attorney – Civil Litigation (Texas)

About the role

We are looking for a Staff Attorney to join our Texas team and represent clients in civil legal proceedings, including trials. You will draft legal documents, advise on transactions, and gain valuable civil trial experience.

Key responsibilities

• Handle and manage litigation files from inception through trial, maintaining a reduced caseload.
• Prepare pleadings, discovery, motions, demands, and responses.
• Draft reports and provide file analysis.
• Conduct litigation and other legal assignments in accordance with guidelines for Fred Loya Insurance Agency and the Loya Insurance Group.

Required profile

• Member in good standing with the State Bar of Texas.
• Minimum 3 years of civil litigation experience, preferably insurance defense, with jury trial experience.
• Strong research and writing abilities and an excellent work ethic.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Bilingual Spanish/English preferred but not required.

• Salary range $95,000 – $170,000 per year, based on experience.
