Staff Architect

About the role

We are looking for a talented Staff Architect to join our dynamic team in New York. You will be involved in the full lifecycle of commercial interior projects, from site selection through design development, construction documentation, and occupancy. Key responsibilities

• Develop architectural designs, schematics, and detailed construction drawings for commercial interior projects.
• Prepare and review construction documents, ensuring compliance with local building codes and project budgets.
• Manage and coordinate consultants, including MEP and structural engineers.
• Report project plans, schedules, and status to the director of design and firm principals.
• Conduct site visits for construction observation, coordinate with contractors, and handle requests for information throughout the project lifecycle.
• Assist in project budgeting, scheduling, and overall coordination.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in architecture from an accredited institution.
• 3‑5 years of professional experience in architecture, with a focus on permitting, construction documents, and construction observation.
• Strong understanding of building systems, materials, and construction methods.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.

Required skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD (latest version).
• Proficiency in Revit.
