Staff Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a Staff Accountant to ensure the integrity of our accounting functions in a high‑performance epoxy manufacturing environment. The role supports day‑to‑day financial transactions, reconciliations, and serves as a backup for both Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable teams.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and analyze the general ledger, ensuring accurate financial recordings.
• Act as primary backup to the Plant Controller and assume Controller duties when needed.
• Prepare and review complex journal entries, month‑end closing, and variance analysis.
• Reconcile balance‑sheet accounts, resolve issues promptly, and support internal financial statements and ad‑hoc reports for executives.
• Monitor compliance reporting (sales tax, business licenses) and uphold internal controls.
• Participate in continuous‑improvement initiatives, CAPA activities, and cross‑functional projects.
• Provide backup support for Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions.

Required profile

• Solid understanding of GAAP and financial accounting principles.
• Strong multitasking, prioritization, and deadline‑driven work ethic.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
• Self‑motivated with the capacity to work independently and within a team.
