Sr. Sponsored Program Specialist - Remote

About the role

The University of Miami’s UHealth Department of Comprehensive AIDS Program is seeking a part‑time Senior Sponsored Programs Specialist to work remotely. The role coordinates administrative and financial functions for the department, oversees junior staff, and ensures compliance with grant regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical assistance to faculty and administrators in developing funding proposals.
• Review grant applications for accuracy and regulatory compliance.
• Maintain internal proposal documents and electronic records for the assigned portfolio.
• Process non‑financial post‑award actions such as award notifications, amendments, and related documents.
• Coordinate project close‑out and budget revisions in line with award amounts.
• Review award terms and conditions and address flagged items with faculty.
• Oversee audits, bank reconciliations of petty‑cash accounts, and monitor subcontracting activity.
• Submit invoices to accounts payable and track timely payments.
• Ensure adherence to university policies and safeguard university assets.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• Minimum three years of experience in sponsored programs, grant administration, or related financial functions.
• Demonstrated learning agility and ability to adapt to changing priorities.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
