S&R Risk Specialist

About the role

The Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta is seeking a motivated S&R Risk Specialist to join the Portfolio Coordination Group. This position supports the supervision of third‑party service providers that are critical to the banking system, ensuring consistent, risk‑based oversight across the SP portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to the review of SP examinations and provide feedback to Central Points of Contact and program leadership.
• Support the development and review of supervisory plans for SPs, factoring size and complexity.
• Challenge key work products such as supervisory strategies, exam scopes, conclusion memos, and examination deliverables.
• Prepare MIS reports and other deliverables that give portfolio‑wide visibility to stakeholders.
• Lead or assist initiatives to improve SP supervision, including vetting supervisory strategies, significant findings, and ratings.
• Collaborate across Federal Banking Agencies to identify common supervisory focus areas.

Required profile

• Prior supervisory experience in operational resiliency, information technology, or cybersecurity.
• Strong analytical ability to assess risk and provide effective challenge.
• Proven capability to work with supervisory teams and program leadership.
