Sr. QA Manufacturing Inspector – 3rd Shift

About the role

Moog is seeking a Senior QA Manufacturing Inspector to join its Space and Defense Group on the 3rd shift. The role is based onsite in East Aurora, NY (Buffalo area) and focuses on ensuring product quality to AS9100 standards.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute complex first‑piece and first‑article inspections to AS9100 standards.
• Assess process risk related to set‑up variations, tooling, instructions, and human factors.
• Support business system and product audits.
• Inspect parts using a variety of inspection techniques and layouts.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, production management, and engineering to maintain workmanship standards.
• Train operators and fellow inspectors on best practices and inspection methods.
• Assist in problem‑solving activities and provide evaluation support for nonconformities.

Required profile

• High School diploma or GED (preferred) with demonstrated ability to follow written and computer work instructions in English.
• Minimum 5 years of quality inspection experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic calculations.

Required skills

• Knowledge of AS9100 quality standards.
• Proficiency with automated measuring equipment.
• Proficiency with manual measuring equipment.
• Experience applying inspection techniques for complex parts.
