Sr. Payments Product Manager

About the role

The Senior Payments Product Manager will own the roadmap and delivery of government payment features across multiple channels. Working remotely from Florida, you will translate agency and merchant needs into secure, scalable solutions while driving product strategy and execution.

Key responsibilities

• Own roadmap, backlog, and execution for online, POS, IVR, and electronic‑check payment features.
• Translate stakeholder requirements into clear user stories, acceptance criteria, and product specifications.
• Lead cross‑functional delivery from discovery through release with engineering and UX teams.
• Prioritize enhancements, defects, and operational issues based on impact, regulatory risk, and business value.
• Maintain an Agile‑ready backlog and drive Scrum/Kanban ceremonies.
• Conduct structured discovery, data analysis, and direct agency feedback to validate customer needs.
• Interpret regulatory and market changes into actionable product insights.
• Partner with compliance, legal, risk, analytics, and operations to ensure regulatory adherence and performance visibility.
• Support go‑to‑market activities by articulating value propositions and feature capabilities.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading complex payment products in a government or fintech environment.
• Strong understanding of payment processing, PayFac onboarding, settlement, chargebacks, and PCI compliance.
• Ability to influence cross‑functional teams and act as the voice of the government customer.
• Excellent analytical mindset with experience using quantitative methods and A/B testing.
• Demonstrated ability to coach junior product managers and participate in recruitment.
