Sr. Manager, Corporate Communications

About the role

The Senior Manager of Corporate Communications is responsible for shaping the public narrative of the organization, driving media coverage, and delivering strategic communications across all platforms. This role supports both business initiatives and community programs, ensuring consistent messaging that aligns with corporate objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive communications strategy that advances corporate business goals and off‑court initiatives.
• Lead strategic communications planning for operations, partnerships, community impact, and non‑basketball events.
• Build and maintain relationships with local, national, and industry media to secure earned media opportunities.
• Pitch and produce compelling story ideas that elevate the brand, community, and venue initiatives.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally to align communications with key business priorities.
• Ensure consistent messaging across corporate communications, business initiatives, community programs, Toyota Center events, and executive platforms.
• Monitor media coverage, industry trends, and emerging issues to inform strategy.
• Measure communications effectiveness through media reporting, analytics, and strategic insights.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing or a related field.
• Minimum three years of relevant experience; management experience preferred.
• Prior experience in sports, entertainment, or related industries is a plus.
• Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong problem‑solving ability and independent decision‑making.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and selected holidays as needed.
