Sr. Estimator / Preconstruction Manager

About the role

Wilson Construction Co. is seeking a Senior Estimator / Preconstruction Manager to lead the proposal and pre‑construction phases of large‑scale electrical utility projects from its Canby, OR office. The role combines detailed estimating, work‑plan development and post‑award logistics to support successful project delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage proposal work plans, estimates and subcontractor scopes to secure project awards.
• Coordinate pre‑construction activities, including logistics, planning, documentation and administrative support after contract award.
• Conduct field investigations and collaborate with construction teams to align resources and schedules.
• Maintain accurate project data and ensure compliance with company and client requirements.

Required profile

• Minimum ten years of progressive leadership or project management experience in electrical utility maintenance or construction.
• Journeyman Lineman certification or a Bachelor’s degree in engineering, industrial technology, construction management, business, or equivalent experience.
• Proven ability to develop work plans and manage large‑scale projects.
• Willingness to work outdoors and travel as needed, with residence within reasonable distance of Canby or willingness to relocate.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Experience with Microsoft Project; Primavera knowledge is a plus.
