Sr. DevOps Engineer

About the role

DPG Solutions is seeking a senior‑level DevSecOps Engineer to support a classified customer program in Virginia. The role is hands‑on, focusing on building, automating, securing and operating mission‑critical Linux and containerized systems.

Key responsibilities

• Modernize and maintain systems tightly coupled to underlying infrastructure, including Red Hat Enterprise Linux environments.
• Design, implement and improve build, integration, test, deployment and operational pipelines.
• Develop and maintain automation using Ansible, Puppet, Chef, Bash and Python.
• Support CI/CD tooling such as Git, Bitbucket, Artifactory and Jira, and manage developer platforms.
• Work with virtualization and container platforms including VMware ESXi, vCenter, Rancher and Kubernetes.
• Integrate security and compliance controls, handling encryption, vulnerability remediation and secure deployment practices.
• Provide operational support for mission systems, troubleshooting applications, services and infrastructure.
• Assist with storage and enterprise infrastructure operations (NAS, SAN).

Required profile

• 7‑10 years of experience in Linux systems administration, DevOps or DevSecOps.
• Strong hands‑on expertise with Red Hat Enterprise Linux provisioning, patching, hardening and performance tuning.
• Proficiency in scripting (Bash, Python) and automation tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef).
• Experience with VMware, Rancher, Kubernetes and container technologies.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Git, Bitbucket, Artifactory, Jira) and pipeline automation.
• US citizenship, active TS/SCI clearance, CI polygraph and Security+ or CISSP certification.
