About the role

Applied Materials is a global leader in materials engineering solutions for semiconductor and display manufacturing. The Sr CoE NPI Supply Chain Program Manager will lead the materials core team, drive supplier strategy, and ensure seamless product development delivery. This senior individual‑contributor role is based onsite in Santa Clara, CA.

Key responsibilities

• Forecast and communicate engineering, material, and manufacturing requirements to suppliers and coordinate demand signals through MRP.
• Lead the Materials Core Team, managing matrixed buyers, planners, and production control to meet product development milestones.
• Perform make‑versus‑buy analysis, source selection, price negotiation, and supplier risk assessments for critical parts.
• Manage the materials change‑control process, track landed‑cost targets, and publish key process indicators.
• Partner with quality and engineering teams to resolve supplier quality issues and escalate when necessary.

Required profile

• Technical expert in supply‑chain and materials management with deep knowledge of engineering requirements.
• Proven ability to lead complex, high‑risk projects and develop execution strategies.
• Strong problem‑solving skills, capable of delivering innovative solutions that impact cost and quality.
• Excellent communication skills to influence senior stakeholders and drive cross‑functional alignment.
