Sr. Analyst, Interconnected Strategy

About the role

The Interconnected Strategy team develops and executes The Home Depot's overall interconnected and customer experience strategy, combining digital capabilities with the value of its stores and associates. This Sr. Analyst role supports the team's work on market dynamics, technology trends, merchandising and fulfillment operations. It reports to a Manager or Director of Business Ops & Strategy, has no direct reports and typically involves less than 10% overnight travel.

Key responsibilities

• Planning process (50%): support the strategic and operational planning cycle by building models, performing business analysis and benchmarking studies, and help communicate strategy and planning outcomes to the business.
• Strategic projects (40%): analyse business problems, structure issues, synthesise data to develop solutions, write structured communications, present solutions to teams and stakeholders and help implement them.
• Competitive and market intelligence (10%): research key competitors and market trends and own regular reporting on one or more data sources.

Required profile

• Age 18 or older and legally permitted to work in the United States.
• Preferred: 5+ years of relevant work experience; preferred education is a bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field.
• Preferred: previous experience in top-tier retail/ecommerce, corporate strategy or professional services (strategy consulting, investment banking, private equity) supporting retail or consumer-facing businesses; MBA a plus.

• Model building, data access, structuring and analysis.
• Financial acumen and strong communication and presentation skills, able to turn complex data into actionable insights for senior leadership.
• Ability to lead, influence and manage cross-functional workstreams, and to thrive in ambiguity and a fast-paced environment.
