SQL Database Administrator

About the role

The Infosys Cloud unit is seeking a skilled SQL Database Administrator to support its enterprise‑grade cloud and AI initiatives. You will work across multiple US locations, primarily in Hartford, CT, collaborating with internal and client teams to ensure reliable, secure, and high‑performing SQL Server environments.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with internal and client teams to resolve complex incidents, perform root‑cause analysis, and document preventive recommendations.
• Evaluate client IT infrastructure, prepare assessment reports, and identify improvement opportunities.
• Design scalable, cost‑effective infrastructure solutions and develop technical documentation for deployed systems.
• Coordinate release schedules, execute deployments, conduct post‑deployment testing, and manage version control.
• Maintain maintenance schedules, emergency fixes, and technology upgrades while ensuring seamless integration.
• Analyze performance data, support capacity planning, and optimize system behavior.
• Conduct security checks, recovery drills, compliance audits, and implement continuity measures.

Required profile

• Proven experience in SQL Server database administration within enterprise environments.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams and communicate technical findings clearly.
• Strong analytical skills for incident investigation, performance tuning, and capacity planning.
• Familiarity with cloud‑based infrastructure concepts and deployment processes.
