About the role

The Spring 2027 Accounting Intern will support the firm’s finance team by preparing financial statements, processing transactions, and assisting with tax preparation. This entry‑level position offers hands‑on experience in accounting and tax work within an office environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review client financial statements for clarity and accuracy.
• Execute all phases of accounting engagements, including write‑ups, payroll, and sales/use tax.
• Prepare individual federal and state tax returns and organize client‑provided tax information.
• Prioritize tasks to meet deadlines while maintaining high quality and quick turnaround.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED; currently a junior or senior college student pursuing a B.A. in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines.
• Professional communication skills, both oral and written.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the MS Office Suite.
• Experience with Thompson Reuters Suite (preferred).
• Intermediate to advanced spreadsheet skills, including formulas and data analysis.
