Spray Booth Oven Operator

About the role

Modine is seeking a reliable Spray Booth Oven Operator to support coil oven preparation, bake oven operations, and topcoat application for the crane line electrocoat process. The role ensures safe, efficient, and high‑quality coating of coils in a fast‑paced production environment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform daily safety and operational checks on bake ovens, spray booths, and related equipment.
• Operate forklift and crane to move ovens, paint carts, and load bars.
• Inspect e‑coat on coils for coverage issues and report any concerns.
• Remove and clean ground cables, caps, and plugs; flag damaged items for maintenance.
• Run bake oven with correct fan/blower settings, temperature, time, and exhaust/scrubber operation.
• Manage spray booth functions: fan/blower, manometer, dew‑point checks, filter replacement, and topcoat application.
• Complete production and bake‑oven paperwork to verify cure times, temperatures, and topcoat application.
• Maintain topcoat paint inventory and keep work area orderly.
• Report problems, low inventory, or equipment issues to supervision.

• Willingness to perform routine inspections and basic maintenance.
