About the role
The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) is offering a short‑term visiting student placement for speech‑language pathology students. This clinical rotation provides hands‑on experience in a multidisciplinary academic medical center, supporting teamwork, diversity, and patient‑centered care.
Key responsibilities
- Participate in patient assessments and contribute to therapy planning under supervision.
- Assist licensed speech‑language pathologists during therapy sessions.
- Document clinical observations and outcomes in accordance with UAMS standards.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals.
- Attend case conferences and educational meetings related to speech‑language pathology.
Required profile
- Active enrollment in an accredited speech‑language pathology program.
- Proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of the rotation.
- Compliance with UAMS COVID‑19 vaccination policy or an approved medical/religious exemption.
- Ability to submit all application materials through the UAMS career portal.
