Specialty Gas Engineer

About the role

Bosch Group is expanding its semiconductor business in Roseville, California and is looking for a Specialty Gas Engineer to support the design, installation, and operation of chemical supply systems used in high‑quality semiconductor production. The role is an individual contributor position within a multidisciplinary engineering team, focused on ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient facility infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Work with vendors to start up and install new equipment at the Roseville site.
• Prepare designs, layouts, drawings, and bills of material for major maintenance and facility improvement projects.
• Modify existing equipment and systems to improve efficiency, safety, reliability, capacity, and cost effectiveness.
• Troubleshoot facility system issues and develop corrective action proposals.
• Create and maintain standard operating procedures and specifications for equipment operation and maintenance.
• Develop installation packages for equipment hook‑up, demolition, or relocation.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, secure permits, and coordinate with authorities.
• Lead continuous‑improvement programs using metrics and reporting systems.
• Train facilities mechanics to improve 24x7 response time.

Required profile

• BS degree in Chemical or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent education).
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in chemical supply systems or similar industrial environments.
• Ability to multitask, work under pressure, and interpret technical documents.
• Strong communication skills for interaction with vendors, engineers, and operators.
