Specialty Equipment Manager – Baltimore, MD

About the role

Alcon is seeking a Specialty Equipment Manager to support its Sales & Sales Support function in the Baltimore, MD area. The role focuses on promoting and selling surgical ophthalmic products and specialized clinical equipment such as Voyager™ DSLT and Valeda® Light Delivery System, building strategic accounts and driving revenue growth.

Key responsibilities

• Drive face‑to‑face sales for high‑value clinical equipment in specialty and general ophthalmic clinics.
• Promote adoption of treatment packages linked to the equipment to maximize account value.
• Develop clinic workflow strategies to improve productivity and consumable pull‑through.
• Identify strategic opportunities within accounts and execute tailored sales strategies to exceed targets.
• Build strong relationships with physicians, technicians and administrative staff.
• Deliver product presentations, proposals and hands‑on demonstrations highlighting clinical and economic value.
• Provide post‑sale training and support to ensure successful implementation.
• Collaborate with marketing, clinical specialists and service teams to support promotional efforts.
• Maintain accurate records of sales activities, pipeline progress and customer interactions using Salesforce.
• Stay informed on industry trends, competitive landscape and emerging technologies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• At least 2 years of relevant sales experience, preferably in ophthalmology or clinic‑based environments.
• Fluent written and verbal communication in English.
• Willingness to travel up to 35% of the time within the assigned territory.
