About the role

The Olean City School District is seeking dedicated Special Education Teachers to support K‑12 students. This full‑time position focuses on delivering instruction that aligns with New York State Learning Standards and individualized education plans.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver instruction to assigned special education classes according to the schedule.
• Create and maintain a classroom environment conducive to learning.
• Prepare lesson plans and provide written evidence of preparation when requested.
• Encourage positive classroom behavior and enforce school policies.
• Utilize a variety of instructional techniques and media tailored to student needs.
• Protect students, equipment, and materials by taking reasonable precautions.
• Assess student progress regularly and maintain accurate records.
• Communicate regularly with parents about academic and behavioral progress.
• Collaborate with related service providers and general education staff to meet IEP goals.
