About the role

Applied Materials is a global leader in materials science and engineering solutions that underpin every new semiconductor chip and advanced display. The Spares Product Line Manager will drive the strategy and execution of the spare parts portfolio, ensuring customers receive high‑value, reliable solutions that support AI and next‑generation semiconductor equipment.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop data reports and business processes to identify risk and opportunities for the spares business.
  • Collaborate with business units and supply chain to manage a roadmap of CIP parts addressing customers' highest‑value problems.
  • Identify gaps in the spares portfolio and build business cases for new development.
  • Lead ECO approval and PCN implementation, providing guidance to engineering and business units on field‑service impact.
  • Facilitate inter‑company communication on product strategy, pricing, spare‑level content, and restricted part orders.
  • Implement cost‑reduction road‑maps and manage strategic vendor issues involving customer interactions.

Required profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, supply chain, business, operations or a related field; technical majors preferred.
  • 2‑5+ years of experience in product management, product line management, supply chain, semiconductor equipment, service parts or operations.
  • Proven experience supporting semiconductor capital equipment, aftermarket service or spare‑parts businesses.
  • Strong business case development, P&L awareness, pricing strategy, market and competitive analysis, and customer‑focused decision making.
  • Leadership competencies: influence without direct authority and proactive ownership in a fast‑changing environment.

Required skills

  • Advanced Excel, Power BI, Tableau or similar reporting tools.
  • Use of AI tools for data analysis.
  • Engineering Change Order (ECO) review and approval.
  • Part Change Notification (PCN) implementation.
  • Familiarity with engineering change and customer change‑notification processes.
