Spaceport Events Manager

About the role

The Spaceport Events Manager leads SpaceX’s hospitality team in delivering high‑quality food service and event experiences for employees, partners, and visitors at the spaceport. This leadership position oversees multiple service outlets, ensures seamless event execution, and upholds the company’s mission‑driven culture.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and enforce high standards for all event operations, guaranteeing consistent excellence in service delivery.
• Own and optimize the JIRA ticketing system for hospitality requests, identifying efficiency improvements.
• Develop and manage catering reports across food venues, meeting spaces, and event areas to drive operational improvements.
• Create detailed service plans, timelines, and schedules aligned with organizational goals.
• Design and deliver training programs on customer service, allergen awareness, and nutrition.
• Lead performance management, documenting feedback and supporting staff development.
• Collaborate with other Hospitality leaders to coordinate services in shared spaces.
• Oversee hiring, onboarding, scheduling, payroll, and compliance with mandatory training.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience in hospitality, event management, or food‑service operations.
• Strong ability to supervise staff, resolve operational issues, and maintain quality standards.
• Excellent communication skills for interaction with customers, stakeholders, and senior leadership.
• Track record of developing talent, managing schedules, and ensuring compliance.
