Sous Chef

About the role

The Sous Chef will support the Executive Chef at Troubadour Golf & Field Club, located just outside Nashville, TN. This role oversees daily kitchen operations, ensures food quality, and helps create a memorable dining experience for members.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and manage all food preparation and kitchen organization.
• Collaborate with senior chefs on ingredient selection to minimize waste.
• Assist in menu creation, development, and implementation.
• Adjust menu pricing in coordination with senior chefs.
• Schedule kitchen staff while controlling labor costs.
• Maintain consistent portion sizes and presentation standards.
• Identify new products that improve quality or reduce cost.
• Enforce food safety standards, including HACCP and local regulations.
• Work closely with Stewarding to keep kitchen areas clean and orderly.

Required profile

• Proven experience supervising kitchen staff and managing food preparation.
• Strong knowledge of HACCP, food safety regulations, and health policies.
• Ability to control food and labor costs while maintaining quality.
• Experience in menu planning and price adjustments.
